Accessibility statement

The owners’ community wants everyone to be able to use this portal. This statement says how accessible it is. The community is not a public body, so the Spanish rules for public websites (Royal Decree 1112/2018) do not apply to it; the statement follows them of its own accord.

Our aim

The portal is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the level required by the European standard EN 301 549, also for people who use a screen reader, the keyboard only, large text or high contrast.

Current status

The portal partly meets WCAG 2.2 level AA, because of the limitations below.

Known limitations

  • Documents uploaded by the administration may not be accessible, for example scanned PDF files.
  • Some texts in languages other than English have not yet been checked by native speakers, and automatic translations are not checked.
  • No full review with a screen reader and no review by people with disabilities has been done yet; problems that only such a review finds may still exist.

How the portal was checked

Every page was checked with the automated tool axe-core in light and dark mode, and the errors found were corrected. Since then, automated browser tests check the main pages after every change, on a phone and on a computer, including that they fit a screen 320 pixels wide. Everything was also tried with the keyboard only.

What helps

  • The portal is available in 12 languages.
  • Everything can be used with the keyboard. A “Skip to main content” link is the first item on every page.
  • Text can be enlarged to 200 %, and the pages fit small screens without scrolling sideways.
  • A dark mode is available: switch it on with the moon button at the top of every page.
  • Animations are switched off when your device asks for reduced motion.

Residents who are logged in can also use the contact page in the portal.

The administration answers within one month and, where it can, gives you the information in another form.
